Our Developments

Trinity West, Huddersfield

This 6.1acre site, formerly part of Kirklees College, was historically the Huddersfield Infirmary and is now a Grade II listed building. In 1912, a statue of King Edward VII was unveiled in the grounds by the King himself and in the 1960s the site was bought by Huddersfield Technical College.

Rhodes Asset Management purchased the site in 2017 from Kirklees, and the submitted plans include 229 residential properties, leisure, retail and employment space, intended to regenerate the area whilst restoring the grade II listed building and statue.

Green Quarter, Leeds

Acquired from St Hilda’s Church in 2016, Knowsthorpe Crescent has been long awaiting development. Work is due to commence in 2019 to create 86 apartments which it’s hoped will be a catalyst for a process of regeneration for the whole area.

Canal Mills, Leeds

Now a prime site in Leeds City Centre, historic maps from 1894 show that this site was originally occupied by several textile mills producing amongst other things: face cloths, flannels, overcoating and suiting.

This formed part of the larger cotton and wool industry prevalent in Leeds during the industrial revolution. Its location on the banks of the Leeds Liverpool canal would have been vital in transporting raw materials and goods in and out of the site. When the industrial revolution declined, the cotton and wool industry moved out of Leeds and in 1960 the site was bought by the Solk family who operated a furniture manufacturing company on the site.

In 2016 Rhodes Asset Management bought Canal Mills and are in the process of developing the site. The plans for the 3.4acre site include 63 town houses, 85 apartments overlooking the canal and 7 commercial units.
